대국민 공청회 개최, 2025년 한국관 운영 30주년 준비

한국문화예술위원회(위원장 정병국)는 2025년 한국관 운영 30주년을 준비하기 위한 대국민 공청회를 개최한다.

한국문화예술위원회는 오는 30일 서울 대학로 예술가의집 3층 다목적홀에서 ‘베니스비엔날레 한국관 운영, 지속 가능성을 논하다’는 공청회를 개최한다고 밝혔다.

이 공청회는 국내외 현장 의견을 심도 있게 들어보고 한국관의 지속 가능한 운영을 논의하기 위한 자리로 예술위원회의 역할을 재정립하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 예상된다.

한국문화예술위원회가 운영하는 베니스비엔날레 한국관은 1995년 개관되어 우리 미술과 건축을 세계에 알리는 역할을 하고 있다.

한국문화예술위원회는 2025년 한국관 운영 30주년을 기념하는 사업을 추진하고 있다.

이번 공청회는 지난 10월 베니스비엔날레 한국관 공동 설계자인 프랑코 만쿠조 교수와의 대담에 이어지는 자리로 예술위원회의 역할을 재정립하고 미래의 한국관 운영을 위한 전략을 모색하는 자리로 기대된다.

임근혜 아르코미술관장, 김아영 작가, 이지회 국립현대미술관 학예연구사, 이치훈 건축사사무소 에스오에이 공동대표, 정보원 한국문화예술위원회 아르코예술기록원 학예연구사, 최춘웅 서울대학교 건축학과 교수 등이 패널로 참여한다.

이번 공청회는 한국문화예술위원회 유튜브 채널을 통해 생중계될 예정이며, 현장 공청회 참석을 원하는 사람들은 사전 신청이 필요하다.

Public Hearing Held to Prepare for the 30th Anniversary of the Operation of the Korean Pavilion

The Korean Cultural Arts Council (Chairman Jeong Byeong-guk) is organizing a public hearing to prepare for the 30th anniversary of the operation of the Korean Pavilion in 2025.

The Korean Cultural Arts Council announced that the public hearing titled “Operation and Sustainability of the Korean Pavilion at the Venice Biennale” will be held on the 30th at the multipurpose hall on the 3rd floor of the Artists’ House in Daehak-ro, Seoul.

This public hearing is expected to provide a platform for in-depth discussions and gather opinions from domestic and international experts to redefine the role of the Korean Cultural Arts Council and discuss the sustainable operation of the Korean Pavilion.

The Korean Pavilion, operated by the Korean Cultural Arts Council, has been showcasing Korean art and architecture to the world since its establishment in 1995.

The Korean Cultural Arts Council is currently planning projects to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the operation of the Korean Pavilion in 2025.

This public hearing follows a special dialogue held in October with Franco Mancuso, one of the co-designers of the Korean Pavilion at the Venice Biennale, and is expected to contribute to the strategic planning for the future operation of the Korean Pavilion.

Panelists participating in the public hearing include Im Geun-hye, the director of ARKO Art Center, Kim A-young, a writer, Lee Ji-hoe, a research fellow at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Lee Chi-hoon, co-representative of the SOA Architecture Office, Choi Chun-woong, a research fellow at the ARKO Art Documentation Center, and Choi Chun-woong, a professor at Seoul National University’s Department of Architecture.

The public hearing will be livestreamed on the Korean Cultural Arts Council’s YouTube channel, and pre-registration is required for those who wish to attend the on-site hearing.
